CLEVELAND, Ohio – An effort to help provide housing for families experiencing homelessness so inspired churchgoers in a Cleveland Heights congregation that everybody joined in – down to youngsters who emptied their piggy banks.

The effort by Fairmount Presbyterian Church raised $126,000 toward the Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry’s “Breaking New Ground” campaign, enough to cover the purchase, renovation, and maintenance of a house in which a homeless family can resettle.
