Junior averages 18.0 points, 9.5 rebounds to rack up her fourth selection of the season

PRINCETON, N.J. – Columbia women's basketball junior Kaitlyn Davis earned her second straight Ivy League Player of the Week selection, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon. Davis continued her recent dominance against Ivy competition, averaging 18.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steal in wins over Penn and Dartmouth. The Norwalk, Connecticut native started her week with a third consecutive double-double, recording 16 points, 12 boards and a career-high four blocks to boost the Lions to their first victory over Penn since 2011. Columbia then traveled to Dartmouth to take on the Big Green over the weekend, where Davis scored a game-high 20 points to go with seven rebounds two blocks and two steals. The Lions were victorious, 65-46.Davis shot an efficient 17-for-25 (.680) on the week and was a perfect 7-for-7 to start Saturday's game at Dartmouth. She now ranks No. 6 in the Ivy League in scoring (13.8), No. 3 in rebounding (9.2), No. 3 in field goal percentage (.488) and No. 3 in blocks (1.7). In Ivy play, Davis leads all players at 11.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game. The weekly honors are the fourth of the season for Davis, which are the most by a Lions since Camille Zimmerman '18CC collected five during the 2016-17 season. Columbia enters the week 6-0 in the Ivy League for the first time. The team's 15-3 overall record is also a program best through 18 games. Additionally, sophomore Abbey Hsu earned recognition on the league's weekly Honor Roll. Hsu, a two-time Ivy Player of the Week this season, averaged a team-high 19.5 points along with 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists across last week's action. The Honor Roll selection is her fourth of the season. Winners of seven straight, the Lions will travel to Penn (7-11, 2-4 Ivy) and Princeton (14-4, 6-0 Ivy) this weekend. They'll visit the Quakers on Friday for a 6 p.m. tip at the Palestra. Saturday's game against the Tigers is set for 5 p.m. ET.
